Latest From Tech With Dom - Late June 2022

Hey Friends,

Hope you're all doing great!

I think it's easy to say that as a part-time content creator, the past 2 weeks have been busy ones! I've been bulk recording a huge amount of footage for upcoming videos for my YouTube channel as well as planning out new blog posts.

One the largest projects was my guest post on Simple Programmer, a blog dedicated to software development and not only. The blog post is a guide based on my personal experience on how to stand out in your Programming Interview After Graduating. You can read the full article here. I think it's important that advice based on personal experience like that exists as it may help someone in the long run!

What's new at Tech With Dom?

  • I finally decided to officially start a Substack newsletter for those who wish to have my posts sent directly to your email inbox. You can find it here. Whilst the page was started a while ago, I haven't used it much until now.
  • New method of getting in touch with me! Up until now, the official way of getting in touch with me was via email. I have now introduced Facebook Messenger as an option. To get in touch, please visit my contact page.
  • Guest posts are coming! To help the community grow, I am planning to reintroduce guest posting on my main blog www.techwithdom.com. I am currently in the middle of setting up a suitable system for accepting and moderating guest posts. More on this in the coming weeks!

By Dom Kwolczak Roll into action and give this fantastic app a whirl! Hi All, Hope you're all doing well! This has been a bit of a strange week mainly because of how fast the weather changed. The week started with it being around 12 to 14°C and then halfway through the week it dropped to below 5°C! I remember Thursday morning being pretty warm but then when I left the office it was so cold! That has of course spoiled my plans for recording content for my channel as I didn't think to take...

By Dom Kwolczak I Want To Try Something New! Hi All, This has been another incredibly busy week, both for Tech With Dom as well as my day job. When working a full-time job and doing something on the side such as running a side hustle or learning a new skill, things can quickly become very busy and you have to know how to plan your time properly. I tend to plan my week during the weekend using a to-do list as well as a calendar app, but I've lately been watching many productivity videos and I...

🖥️ Microsoft Needs To Do This NOW! Hi All, I started the week with a random thought and if you think about it, it actually makes sense, especially in this day and age - but we'll get to that a little later. First, I wanted to mention that Microsoft Windows has always been an operating system I associate work and corporate life with. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most companies I ever worked for used Windows of some variation. According to research, Microsoft Windows also...
